Dr. Dörte Ohlhorst

Dörte Ohlhorst has been a senior researcher at the Environmental Policy Research Centre of the Free University of Berlin since July 2012. Her research focus is on the German Energy Transition. She studied Political Science and Management Science at the Free University of Berlin, the Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg and the University of Konstanz. She started out on her career in the field of environmental mediation. Since October 1999 she has been an academic researcher and divisional head at the Centre for Technology and Society at the Berlin Technical University. In 2008 she gained her PhD in Political Science at the Free University of Berlin about the innovation process of wind energy in Germany. From 2009 to 2012 she has been research associate at the German Advisory Council on the Environment.

Her primary fields of interest include German renewable energy policy, environmental and innovation policy, multi-level governance, sustainability strategies and social participation, focussing on policy analysis and methods for interdisciplinary studies.
